Our first home

Nate and I were very blessed with purchasing our first home in plantation Florida august 2009. We were so ecstatic about finally finding the house that we could really enjoy and call ours. On the hunt for a house was no joke. We never imagined all the little things that we had to consider. Like if the appliances would be up to date, the condition of the roof, And HOA fees. Although we came to learn that a low HOA fee is better than none because you are paying to live in a nice area. A well maintained area too. This is a picture of our dining room before we renovated it. We loved the space! But not the floors so much. Especially since we have a big American bulldog. So we discussed getting laminate floors and a nice chandelier of course! Oh! And paint! Before we had moved into the house, I started a new higher paying job where I met a great handy man mr. Alex! He did our floors and paint for a very affordable price!

Ta da!!!! Our beautiful living room!! We loved loved LOVED the floors and paint!!!! In this picture you can't really see the chandelier. Alex did the whole living room and our master bedroom in 2 weeks! He is excellent!

Here is a before snap of our living/family room. That's our puppy jock.

Yay! We had alex paint one wall a khaki green accent wall to give our home a little kick of color. The rest of the house is that off badge yellowish color that is on the hallway walls.

Our house originally came with blinds. But we wanted our home to look more modern so we had the idea to get curtains. It was SO hard to look for the right colors to match our house. But we loved these. It's somexciting to shop for home stuff. I love going to home stores like bed bath beyond, kohls, sur la table and for good deal home goods!! Oh yeah and there's always target. Although i find the best best deals at home goods. You just have to really dig and find. Our house came sooo nice. Both of us couldn't be happier!

We are still doing some renovations and adding more or less here and there.
